DDNSD

The Dynamic Domain Name Server Daemon project consists of a server and a client program. The server part (the Daemon) runs on a DNS server, waiting for clients to connect. When a client connects and is authenticated, the server will update the zonefile for this particular client and issue a reload to the nameserver.

At the moment the project is not ready for production use. A lot of functionality is still missing (authentication, encryption), bugs have to be resolved and documentation has to be written. What we do have is a working server for FreeBSD 4.x and clients for BSD, Linux, HP-UX and Solaris. If you are interested you can download the sources here.
